› Environment

Located at Mnaitra, at the heights of the caza of Jbeil, the resort spreads over millions of square meters, ever-green juniper, pine and oak trees.

The surroundings nestle :

• archeological remains : temples of Ashtarout and Adonis, Yanouh and roman tombs,
• fabulous grottos : Roueiss, Afqa, Mar Youhanna,
• numerous valleys and cliffs with breath-taking sceneries,
• high plateaus, kingdom of the shepherds and their herds of goats and lambs,
• apple and cherry trees gardens,
• natural water springs.

› Mission

Our aim is "to instill in young people of today an awareness of the fragility of our own ecosystem and to guide them towards a respectful approach to Nature".

Thus, La Réserve dedicates itself to:
- promote and enhance eco-tourism and adventure tourism in Lebanon;
- boost up internal tourism and attract regional customers;
- participate in the rural development and sustainable tourism policies;
- create an interest towards Nature preservation and ecological development between the younger generations from Lebanon and many Arab and occidental countries.

La Réserve institutionalizes eco-tourism and adventure tourism in a country full of natural resources still to be revealed to a very demanding world.

› Activities

Under the guidance of a professional team of supervisors, all of them permanently trained by professionals from the Ecole Française d'Escalade, La Réserve introduces thrilling outdoors sports and team activities to families, institutions, companies, schools and universities:

› Restaurant

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the restaurant's terraces, overlooking the superb Adonis Valley.
Our menus focus on genuine Lebanese cuisine. Gourmet buffets on Sunday noon.
Our chef and his team can cater for more than 400 persons on special occasions and events.

› Camping

Spreading amongst the juniper trees, wooden log cabins and large tents accommodate more than 200 persons.
Every log cabin and tent is equipped with four beds, mattresses and pillows, lighting and an electrical outlet.
Individual showers offer hot and cold water.

› Operations

La Réserve is operational from the first of May till the end of October.
Summer Camps and Basket Ball Camps take place in July, August and September.
Snow Survival Camps are organized in the weekends of January and February.

No memberships and no entrance fees. Only reservation is a must.

La Réserve's personnel - management, restaurant, activities, camping - is highly trained to provide our customers an optimal service in a very friendly atmosphere.

› Safety

Safety, hygiene and nature preservation are our top concerns.

* Sports:
The supervisors are rescuers at the Lebanese Red Cross and members of the Ecole Française d'Escalade.
Every spring, Mr. Henri Augareils, a professional instructor from the Syndicat des Guides de Montagne de France organizes a training session focusing on safety and the latest climbing techniques.

Safety rules are a must at all times:
- all activities are performed under the guidance of one or two supervisors
- helmets and other safety equipment are worn whenever necessary
- an infirmary is permanently available
- one unique protected spot is reserved for the campfires.

La Réserve can but operate as per the high safety standards set by the local and international sports federations.
La Réserve relies on a permanent updating of its management and operational techniques; the sports and activities hardware is state-of-the-art equipment as per the international standards. It is permanently checked and renewed.

* Food and Beverage:
Hygiene is the motto at the restaurant:
- food's raw materials are of prime quality
- food is stored as per the toughest standards
- personnel do observe strict hygiene rules.

* Camping:
- all necessary means are used to eradicate crawling insects and animals, only from the camping's area and surroundings. The equilibrium of the eco-system deserves all respect;
- toilets and showers are cleaned three times a day, with bio-degradable products;
- used water is partly recycled and used for irrigation.

› Insurance

BANKERS ASSURANCE S.A.L., a prime insurance company in Lebanon, covers La Réserve's clients against accidents and poisoning during their stay at La Réserve.
