La Réserve's instructors are the first people in Lebanon and probably in the Middle-east to earn a professional diploma from the Ecole Française d'Escalade.
Henri Augareils, a professional mountain guide from the Syndicat des Guides de Montagne de France, delivered two training sessions, in 2001 and 2002, focusing on climbing techniques, equipment, safety and leadership.

RAPPELLING (ABSEILING)

This is the fastest way down a cliff.

VIA FERRATA

Crossing the cliff in perpendicular, the harness hooked to a main cable along the cliff on top of the Roueiss grotto at Akoura village.
Just keep your breath when you gaze at the beautiful scenery of the Adonis valley.

Professional climbers are welcome for special sessions on high cliffs (100m and more) at Laklouk and Tannourine.

High Plateaus	Our jeeps give you a lift to Akoura's high plateaus, at an altitude of 2000 m.No more barriers between earth and sky and breathtaking sceneries on the Adonis Valley.Walking back along the shepherds paths is easy, refreshing and simply unique.Shepherds welcome you in their huts for a coffee or a glass of goat milk.Lunch is available for level 2. History	Interested in history and archeology? This hike introduces you to the roman cemeteries, the citadel hill and the temple of Ashtarout and Adonis.	Three hours	1	May > October	Yes
Flora	Michel Hayeck, an agronomist fond of wild flowers and herbs, takes on a tour and introduces you to the high plateaus' medicinal plants.	Two hours	1	May > October	Yes

Hikers, aged 12 till 65 years old, must be in a good condition.
Walking boots, a hat and a water flask are a must.

› Caving

Discover the underworld.

Beautiful grottos, some very large and some smaller, are disseminated in the mountains of Akoura: Afqa, Roueiss, Mar-Youhanna, etc…
Most of them need special equipment and professional training.

Roueiss grotto is the most accessible one for amateur cavers.
Just wear a helmet and an electrical lamp and let our experienced guides lead you into fantastic labyrinths and unique galleries full of stalactites and stalagmites.
Claustrophobic persons are not advised to join in.

Central	2 hours	Visit of the central galleries.Kids and adults. Groups of 5 till 35.
Upper	4 hours	Visit of the central galleries and climbing to the upper level of the cave. 15 years old and above. Groups of 5 till 15.
Lower	3 hours	Visit of the central galleries and stepping down to the underneath labyrinths.Adults. Groups of 5 till 15.

Adventure caving is available upon request in deep beautiful caves, under the guidance of professional speleologists, equipped with professional gears (climbing harnesses and ropes, diving equipment, etc…).
